"I completed a number of paintings inspired by the surrounding landscape. With more sophisticated coding, my painting machine will calculate the curves of the mountains I  diligently studied during the residency. It will recreate them in abstract landscapes that represent the slopes and contours of the land I observed in Colorado.  I’ll be able to continue to explore how we experience time while reconciling complex issues of technology and nature." -Caitlin Hurd
